If, after completion of 7 innings of play (or time limit), the score is TIED, the following tie breaker rule will be played to determine a winning team.
Starting with the top of the 8th inning, or when the clock runs out, and each half inning thereafter, the offensive team shall begin its turn at bat with the players who are scheduled to bat in that respective half inning being placed on second base (e.g. if the number 5 batter is the leadoff batter, the number four batter in the batting order will be placed on 2nd base. A courtesy runner may be inserted in for pitcher or catcher as usual. All GGF rules apply in the tiebreaker format. If you are using a DR, you can place that runner at 2nd base.
“IF” Necessary Games – This is considered a NEW GAME and a NEW lineup will be made out. Coin flip will take place at meeting and the last person listed on the lineup goes to 2nd base. The ITB will begin now and team that holds the lead after end of full inning is declared the winner.
